While downloading your certificate please take
care of the following points:
- Same machine & on the same browser without
upgrading/updating/reinstalling as was used for enrollment (Key Pair
Generation) should be used for certificate pick up.
- While requesting for certificate make sure that
your browser should be either IE 6.0 or above. Please use Windows
operating system (except Windows Vista) for claiming your certificate.
- Certificates claimed in the above mentioned
operating systems can be used in any other operating system by importing
the certificate alongwith private key in the system.
- Before downloading certificate, customers are
advised to check the browser compatibility on the following link http://mtnltrustline.com/keygencheck.htm.
- Please remember your reference ID as it is part of
your certificate & will make further correspondence between you &
mtnltrustline easy.
- Subscriber should claim their certificate within
60 days of enrollment otherwise they may lose it.
- Please check that your mailbox is having
sufficient space so that the mails from mtnltrustline should not bounce.
- Certificate is delivered to applicant through the
browser so care must be taken to store/save it alongwith private key at
some safe & secure place whenever browser is upgraded/ updated/
reinstalled.
- MTNLTRUSTLINE recommends that all end user
subscribers should use hardware cryptographic modules rated at a minimum
of FIPS 140-1/2 level 1 or equivalent.
- Subscriber shall take reasonable measures for the
physical protection of his Smart Card/ USB Crypto Token to prevent any
misuse of digital certificate stored in it.
- The Smart Card/ USB Crypto Token should be
protected with password/ pin.
- The e-mail id against which the certificate is
requested should be configurable with mail clients like Outlook Express,
Micorsoft Outlook etc. Mail clients like Outlook Express, Micorsoft
Outlook etc allow the emails to be digitally signed.
